What Causes Mold

When mold forms, it can grow and infect other areas of the home fairly quickly if not treated correctly. Mold is caused by water damage or moisture that has found its way in your home and settled on either walls, ceilings or any other surface that it can attach to. When you contact SERVPRO of Boone & Clinton Counties regarding a mold problem, we will go in and look at the infected areas to make sure it is in fact mold. After that we will determine if we just need to spray and kill the mold or if some of the wall, counter, ceiling or whatever else needs to come out. If anything in your home has a leak or allows water in, you need to get it fixed sooner rather than later to help prevent the potential growth of mold.
